The idea behind the spoon was to have the front axle push the deck up as you turned - thus causing roll stability. You can see the brown pressure marks where the front axle rolled against the convex front deck. | ||||
This is the original hardcarve 3 - with steel cables, not chains. The salt from the roads and friction quickly ate through the cables at the bottom pivot ( the horizontal aluminum bar closest to the camera). The problem with chain is that it comes in discrete lengths... | ||||
